Most Consecutive 50 Plus Scores In IPL: Sai Sudarshan from Gujarat Titans has made his fifth successive fifty in IPL 2026.
It is not unusual for a player to score half centuries in two successive games in a tournament like the IPL. However, some players have scored fifties or more runs in five successive games.
Till now, there have been only a handful of players who have managed to score 50+ runs in five consecutive matches in the history of IPL, though no player has succeeded in doing the same feat in six successive games.
The latest to do so was Sai Sudarshan in IPL 2026, thus matching the record set by some legends for making the maximum number of consecutive 50 plus runs in a game.
Most consecutive 50 plus scores in IPL history
4. Virender Sehwag
The first player to score the maximum number of half centuries in IPL’s history is Virender Sehwag, who managed to score 5 half centuries consecutively, which is a historic record.
During the year 2012, he scored half century or above in five matches continuously. In the year 2012, he scored 495 runs in 16 matches in all, which consisted of five half centuries.
3. Sai Sudarshan
Sudarshan has qualified for this list because of his performances of 50+ runs in five successive games in the IPL 2026 season. In the current season, Sudarshan has managed to score 638 runs in 14 games, which include one century and seven half-centuries.
2. Jos Buttler
Jos Buttler has been able to score 50-plus scores consecutively in his 2018 stint with the Rajasthan Royals in IPL. This feat helped him equal the record held by Sehwag, which took the latter six years to achieve. In the same year, Jos Buttler amassed 548 runs in 13 matches, scoring 5 half centuries.
1. David Warner
Playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2019 IPL, David Warner posted scores of 50-plus runs in five consecutive matches, thereby equaling Sehwag and Buttler’s record for the most consecutive 50-plus scores in the IPL. In that season, Warner amassed 692 runs in 12 matches, featuring one century and eight half-centuries.
