In the Men’s ODI World Cup, Mayank Agarwal offered insights into the personalities of the Indian cricket squad both on and off the field, identifying Virat Kohli as a ‘Gym freak’ and KL Rahul as the most serene and composed individual.
During a rapid-fire segment on JioCinema’s show, hosted by Aakash Chopra, Mayank Agarwal delved into the off-pitch personas of his teammates, shedding light on their idiosyncrasies, humorous habits, and more.
When questioned about the fitness enthusiast in the team, Mayank humorously acknowledged his own gym dedication but conceded that Virat Kohli might have him beat, stating, “I consider myself a gym freak, maybe not more than Virat Kohli, but I definitely see myself as one.”

He identified Indian fast bowler Umran Malik as the most social media-savvy player and described wicketkeeper-batsman KL Rahul as the squad’s ‘calm and composed’ figure.
Mayank expressed his admiration for Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin’s analytical abilities and cricketing knowledge, predicting him as a potential future commentator. When it came to the funniest player in the squad, Mayank singled out Ishan Kishan, whom he hadn’t played with much but found to be a genuinely humorous individual.
However, Mayank saw himself as the most talkative player on the team, clarifying that it wasn’t sledging but a way to stay deeply engaged in the game.
As for the eternal optimist in the team, Mayank pointed to Vidwath Kaverappa, a Karnataka First-Class player, and described him as very optimistic.
Remembering Hanuma Vihari, who has been absent from the Indian cricket team for an extended period, Mayank referred to him as the most ardent cricket enthusiast within the squad.
