Players Ruled Out Of IPL 2026: As Injury continues to affect many teams combinations within this year’s IPL, lots of Players have been ruled out for the IPL 2026 season.
As we approach the 19th season of the IPL, many franchises have had many difficulties with Players who will miss time as a result of injury.
The franchises that have been most affected thus far through the initial part of season 19 are Chennai Super Kings & Kolkata Knight Riders, which is evident when we look at their respective positions in the T20 IPL Point System.
Key Players Ruled Out of IPL 2026
1. Harshit Rana (KKR)
Harshit fell victim to a knee injury while training for T20 World Cup activities. Thus, he was ruled out before the first game of the season.
2. Akash Deep (Kolkata Knight Riders).
Deep also fell victim to an injury early in the season (lower back stress fracture).
3. Nathan Ellis (Chennai Super Kings).
Ellis suffered a hamstring strain in a domestic game while representing Australia in the domestic arena, resulting in missing the entire season.
4. Sam Curran (Rajasthan Royals).
After being acquired through a high-profile trade, Curran suffered a groin injury before the commencement of IPL 2026.
5. Adam Milne (Rajasthan Royals).
Milne sustained a hamstring strain during T20 World Cup play, resulting in him being unable to participate in the T20 World Cup.
6. Khaleel Ahmed (Chennai Super Kings).
Ahmed was injured in the quadriceps region while executing the bowling process during the KKR match, and he was unable to complete the remaining matches.
7. Ayush Mhatre (Chennai Super Kings).
Mhatre sustained a hamstring strain while running between wickets against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
8. Wanindu Hasaranga (Lucknow Super Giants).
Hasaranga was another player who suffered a hamstring strain whilst playing for his country.
9. Jack Edwards (Sunrisers Hyderabad).
Edwards was ruled out of the season prior to the season commencing when he was injured in the leg.
10. Brydon Carse (Sunrisers Hyderabad).
Carse sustained an injury to his hand during pre-season.
11. David Payne (SRH)
Payne only joined on a temporary basis, however, he sustained a knee injury, which would lead to him finishing his season prematurely.
12. Prithviraj Yarra (GT)
Yarra was unable to take part in the season due to injury prior to the start of the season.
13. Tom Banton (GT)
During training, Banton sustained a finger injury, therefore, will be unavailable for IPL season 2021.
14. Atharv Ankolekar (MI)
Ankolekar sustained a knee injury during pre-season training, leaving him to miss the whole IPL season 2022.
