From Injury Setbacks to Comeback Success – KL Rahul’s Journey
Rahul’s career over the past year has been nothing less than a roller-coaster ride, full of ups and downs. During IPL 2023, KL Rahul suffered a hamstring strain because of which he was out of action for most of the season. Because of the injury, he was forced to miss the ICC World Test Championship final.
However, he made an impressive recovery, marking his return with a century against arch-rivals Pakistan in the Asia Cup later that year.
After making a strong comeback, KL Rahul established himself as a crucial member of India’s squad across both Test and ODI formats, including featuring in the ODI World Cup.
Unfortunately, Rahul was ruled out at the start of India’s home Test series against England in January, after making 86 runs in Hyderabad and experiencing pain in his right quadriceps. The injury kept him out for the rest of the series, which India ultimately won 4-1.
KL Rahul made his return to competitive cricket during IPL 2024, where he captained the Lucknow Super Giants. He then marked his international return on India’s tour of Sri Lanka in July-August.
Recently, KL Rahul featured in the opening round of the Duleep Trophy, which is a four-day red-ball tournament that kicks off India’s domestic season.
In his latest outing, Rahul participated in the two Tests against Bangladesh, where he amassed 106 runs across three innings.
