Choosing to bat first after winning the toss, Punjab Kings, under captain Shreyas Iyer, registered a dominating score of 201/4 in 20 overs. Openers Prabhsimran Singh and Priyansh Arya set the tone, sharing a magnificent 120-run partnership in only 11.5 overs. Prabhsimran Singh was in magnificent touch, scoring 83 runs off 49 balls, including 6 fours and 6 sixes.

His counterpart, Priyansh Arya, was equally belligerent, dispatching 69 runs from 35 balls, with 8 fours and 4 sixes. Skipper Shreyas Iyer (25 off 16) and Josh Inglis (11 off 6)* contributed towards taking PBKS over the 200-run barrier.
