Kevin Pietersen’s Bold Statement: ‘Time for VIRAT to make the move’ – Assessing Virat Kohli’s Future After RCB’s IPL 2023 Exit

Kohli was heartbroken after the game, as it was yet another season in which his dream of winning his first IPL trophy was dashed.

Virat Kohli appeared to be back at his best in the shortest format after an outstanding IPL 2023 season with the bat. Kohli scored 639 runs in 14 matches, including six half-centuries and a handful of hundreds in consecutive games.

The former captain stepped up his game precisely when his side needed it the most, blasting hundreds against the Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Gujarat Titans on Sunday, May 21. However, one of RCB’s major difficulties this season was their reliance on their elite players, which showed in their performance against the Titans.

Kohli stayed unbeaten on 101 from 61 balls, and his team was given an opportunity by setting a goal of 198. Chinnaswamy, on the other hand, has been a chasing ground, and the hosts will feel they were 15-20 runs short.

Faf du Plessis, Glenn Maxwell, and Virat Kohli have done the majority of the scoring for RCB, and they would like to add some muscle to that middle order before next season.
