Meanwhile, ahead of the much-awaited semi-final match, former Indian cricketer Kapil Dev mentioned that Rohit has united the team as a leader and has never displayed any aggression on the field. Speaking at the ABP Live event, Kapil Dev said:

“He doesn’t play like Virat, doesn’t jump around like him. But he knows his limitations, and within those limitations, there is no better player than him,

He added: “Many big players come, they care about their own careers, even do captaincy from that point of view. That’s why Rohit has an extra tick because he keeps the entire team happy.”
