Kane Williamson suffered a groin injury on the tour of Sri Lanka last month, just before the India series. NZC quoted New Zealand coach Gary Stead as saying, “Kane’s condition has improved a lot but at this time he is not fully ready to join us. Therefore, in our opinion, he should do rehab in New Zealand now so that he can be ready for the series against England.

The three-Test series against England is scheduled to start in Christchurch on November 28. Williamson suffered this injury during the series tour. Due to this Williamson could not even be a part of the first two Test matches against India.
