  • Javagal Srinath has reflected India in the majority of World Cups as a bowler (1992, 1996, 1999, and 2003). He has a total of 44 wickets to his name in five World Cups.
  • Javagal Srinath planned to retire from cricket in 2002. However, Sourav Ganguly, India’s captain at the time, persuaded him to play in the 2003 World Cup. In the end, Srinath became India’s leading wicket-taker in the tournament.
