Shivam Dube’s stunning knock 66* (27) against Lucknow, Suresh Raina, requested BCCI Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar to keep his eyes on Shivam Dube. In another high scoring game at the Chepauk Stadium on April 23, Shivam Dube hit another fifty in his IPL 2024, continuing his impressive run of form.

Dube hit three boundaries and seven big sixes in his 66 run inning off only 27 deliveries, while CSK amassed 210 runs in the first inning. Suresh Raina took to X during the innings break to express his expectation that Dube would be included in India’s T20 World Cup squad. Then, tagging Agarkar in his tweet, he would implore him to select Mumbai’s batter for the Indian team.

Dube is now CSK’s second-highest run scorer this season, with 311 runs in 8 games, behind only skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad. Dube is one of the key players that the selectors are keeping an eye on for the forthcoming ICC event in the West Indies and the USA, as selection day draws near.

LSG won the toss and decided to bowl first to start the game, setting the stage for a heated battle. Ruturaj Gaikwad scored 108 runs to help CSK set an impressive target of 211. Marcus Stoinis of LSG, however, stole the show during the game with an incredible inning. With an unbeaten 124 off just 63 balls, Stoinis helped his team defeat CSK by six wickets.

After this win, Lucknow Super Gains overtook Chennai Super Kings and came to the 4th position.
