The Indian Premier League (IPL) is well-known for generating a diverse range of T20 finishers. It has given them the opportunity to showcase their power-hitting skills during death overs. Numerous runs have been scored and umpteen sixes have been hit in the death overs over the years. Teams with the best finishers are more likely to win the IPL.
In this article, we will look at the top five batsmen who have scored the most runs in an over.

Chris Gayle
Chris Gayle’s 175 in the 2013 IPL for Royal Challengers Bangalore is the maximum T20 innings score by any cricket player. Chris Gayle’s tough glory was on display during his unbeaten 175 off 66 balls for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2013 against the now-defunct Pune Warriors. Chis Gayle scored his century in just 30 deliveries, becoming the fastest T20 century ever.
Ravindra Jadeja
The match between the Chennai Super Kings and the Royal Challengers Bangalore was going good until the final over, which completely changed the game. With the score at 154/4 in 19 overs, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja unleashed a violent attack on IPL 2021 Purple Cap-holder Harshal Patel that astonished spectators. The 32-year-old tied Chris Gayle’s IPL record of scoring the most runs (37) in a single over.
Pat Cummins
There’s no reason to doubt that Pat Cummins is a standout performer. While his primary skill remains his ability to swing the new ball and assist his team in getting wickets with his speed and bounce, he is also a beneficial batter in white-ball cricket. However, it was his batting that swung the game in the Kolkata Knight Riders’ favour against the Mumbai Indians on Wednesday at the MCA International Stadium in Pune. Cummins finished unbeaten on 56 off 15 deliveries, the joint-fastest half-century in Indian Premier League history.
Suresh Raina
Raina was instrumental in Chennai Super Kings’ triumph. At No. 3, his darting left-handed style of play empowered CSK to strike at will, with enough assassinating power left down the order. Raina’s inclusion in the squad is explained by the fact that he is currently the leading run-scorer in IPL history (4985 runs prior to the start of IPL 12), and he is affectionately referred to as “Chinna Thala” by CSK fans. Fans prefer watching the flighted straight drive (or hitting in the V) as he plays valiantly in a tournament like the Indian premier league.
Virender Sehwag
Sehwag, who managed to play for Kings XI Punjab in the 2014 IPL, finished with 122 runs off 58 balls against Chennai Super Kings at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. Sehwag’s innings included 12 fours and 8 sixes, and he succeeded in scoring at a strike rate of 210.34. This was Sehwag’s second century in IPL history; his first came against the Deccan Chargers in 2011.
