1. Chris Gayle
Chris Gayle made IPL history in 2013 by scoring the strongest individual score by a cricketer in the history of the game. Gayle ended up scoring 175 runs off 66 balls for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) against the Pune Warriors, with 17 sixes and 13 fours. The big-hitting West Indian opener reached his century in just 30 balls during the incredible innings. In that game, RCB also posted the highest ever IPL team total of 263 for 5 in 20 overs, limiting Pune to 133/9 to win by 130 runs.
2. Brendon McCullum
Brendon McCullum of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) got the IPL off to a flying start, having scored 158 runs off only 73 balls in the opening match of the inaugural season against Royal Challengers Bangalore. The buccaneering Kiwi opener smashed a total of 10 fours and 13 sixes during his legendary unbeaten at home innings. McCullum’s brilliant innings helped KKR win by a comfortable margin of 140 runs.
3. AB de Villiers
AB de Villiers swung the bat for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2015 IPL, scoring 133 runs off 59 balls against the Mumbai Indians. De Villiers and Virat Kohli shared a career high 215-run partnership in that game, with Kohli also scoring 82 runs. AB de Villiers, also known as ‘Mr. 360 degrees,’ thrashed the MI bowlers all over the field, hitting 19 fours and four sixes to help his team win by 39 runs. AB de Villiers smashed 129 runs off 52 balls for the RCB against the Gujarat Lions in an IPL 2016 game, which include 12 sixes and ten fours. Both Kohli and de Villiers scored centuries in that game, as RCB posted 248 for 3 in 20 overs, while Gujrat were bowled out for 104 runs and ended up losing by 144 runs.
4. Rahul KL
KL Rahul, the current captain of the Punjab Kings, commanded the Kings XI Punjab in the previous version of the IPL, which was held in the United Arab Emirates.
