IPL 2025: On Friday (May 2), Gujarat Titans (GT) defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 38 runs to earn their 7th win in the IPL 2025 season.
SRH was chasing a target of 225 runs but ended their innings at 186/6. They got off to a fast start with Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma adding 49 runs in just 27 balls for the first wicket. However, the partnership ended when Rashid Khan took a stunning diving catch to dismiss Head for 20 runs.

Batting first, GT scored 224/6. Captain Shubman Gill led the way with 76 runs, while Jos Buttler added 64. Sai Sudharsan also chipped in with 48. Jaydev Unadkat was SRH’s best bowler, taking 3 wickets for 35 runs.
In reply, SRH managed only 186/6. Abhishek Sharma fought hard with 74 runs, but got little support. After he got out, SRH collapsed from 139/3 to 145/6. Ishan Kishan and Heinrich Klaasen scored just 13 and 23.
