RR’s great attempt at the chase

Rajasthan Royals (RR) had a tough go at chasing this one down, with Sanju Samson and Dhruv Jurel keeping up the SRH batsmen’s aggressive pace of scoring, each contributing half-centuries.
Overseas batter Shimron Hetmyer’s late fireworks in addition to the tally contributed to making it a game total of 528, only the second-best ever in the history of the IPL. It was always never going to be enough, however.
Rajasthan Royals (RR) struggled early in their pursuit in the IPL 2025 SRH vs RR encounter. Simarjeet Singh made early inroads in the second over, sending Yashasvi Jaiswal and skipper Riyan Parag back to the pavilion.
Sanju Samson was also recruited as an impact player and calmed the innings with a gritty knock of 66 runs off 37 balls, supporting seven fours and four sixes. Dhruv Jurel also played a fiery knock, making 70 runs off 35 balls, five fours, and six sixes. Together, they added a vital 111-run partnership, but both fell in a hurry.
Shimron Hetmyer continued the charge with a rapid 42 off 23 balls, which included four fours and four sixes. Shubham Dubey also added important runs with a quick 34 off only 11 balls off four fours and four sixes.
While the lower-mid order did try its best, Rajasthan found it hard to overcome the early setbacks, beginning at 50 for 3. The Royals ended their innings with 17 fours and 18 sixes, but the target set by Sunrisers Hyderabad proved too much to achieve. For SRH, Harshal Patel and Simarjeet Singh achieved two wickets each and their side was on the winning side.
