Kolkata Knight Riders had a rough start to their innings after being asked to bat, with Quinton de Kock getting out for just 4 in the first over. However, captain Ajinkya Rahane (56) and Sunil Narine (44) stepped up and played brilliantly to stabilize the innings.

While captain Ajinkya Rahane got off to a fast start, Sunil Narine took a little time to settle in but made sure to make a big impact. The Rahane-Narine partnership added 103 runs for the second wicket, putting KKR in a strong position. However, Krunal Pandya brought Royal Challengers Bangalore back into the game by taking two quick wickets.
