In the 48th match of IPL 2025, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Delhi Capitals (DC) by 14 runs at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on April 29.
After DC won the toss and chose to bowl, KKR made a strong start with the bat. Angkrish Raghuvanshi (44) and Rinku Singh (36) were the top scorers, while Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Sunil Narine, and Ajinkya Rahane each chipped in with useful 20s.

Delhi bowlers fought back, with Mitchell Starc taking 3 wickets, Vipraj Nigam and Axar Patel picking 2 each, and Chameera grabbing 1, but KKR still managed a competitive total.
While chasing, Faf du Plessis scored a solid 62 off 45 balls, but didn’t get enough support from Abishek Porel, Karun Nair, and KL Rahul. Axar Patel added a quick 43 off 23, and Vipraj Nigam hit 38 off 19, but DC fell short at 190/9.
Sunil Narine starred with the ball for KKR, taking three wickets. Varun Chakravarthy, Vaibhav Arora, Anukul Roy, and Andre Russell also picked up important wickets.
With this result, the IPL 2025 Points Table, Orange Cap, and Purple Cap standings have been updated.
