IPL 2025: In the 55th match of IPL 2025 on May 5, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Delhi Capitals (DC) faced off at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
SRH won the toss and chose to bowl. Captain Pat Cummins took three wickets and a catch in the powerplay as DC struggled, reducing them to 26/4. DC then slipped to 62/6, but Tristan Stubbs (41\*) and Ashutosh Sharma (41) fought back, helping DC reach 133/7.
However, heavy rain prevented the second innings from starting, and the match was called off. This result knocked SRH out of the playoff race.

With the match ending without a result, there were updates in the IPL 2025 standings. Before the match, SRH were in ninth place with three wins from 10 matches, while DC were in fifth place with six wins from 10 games.
