PBKS vs KKR, IPL 2025: Punjab Kings played against Kolkata Knight Riders in the 31st match of IPL 2025 at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, Chandigarh.
Punjab Kings secured another win by defeating Kolkata Knight Riders by 16 runs. KKR, led by Shreyas Iyer, won the toss and chose to bat first, but that decision didn’t work out well as their batting performance was poor.

Punjab Kings started their innings strongly, with Priyansh Arya (22) and Prabhsimran Singh (30) continuing their good form and putting up 39 runs for the first wicket. But things quickly fell apart as the rest of the batting line-up collapsed.
Kolkata’s bowlers took advantage of poor shots, with Harshit Rana taking the first three wickets. Then spinners Varun Chakravarthy and Sunil Narine took control. No other Punjab batter crossed 20 runs, and the team was bowled out for just 111 runs in under 16 overs.
Kolkata Knight Riders also had a rough start, with openers Quinton de Kock and Sunil Narine getting out cheaply. Captain Ajinkya Rahane (17) and young Angkrish Raghuvanshi (37) tried to steady things with a 55-run partnership.
But Punjab’s Yuzvendra Chahal turned the game around by taking four quick wickets, leaving KKR struggling at 79 for eight. Andre Russell (17) tried to fight back, but couldn’t finish the job. Punjab bowled out Kolkata for 95, winning the match by 16 runs.
