
On Sunday, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) won a miraculous game against reigning champions Gujarat Titans to climb into second place on the IPL 2023 Points Table, only behind leaders Rajasthan Royals on the Net Run Rate (NRR). Both KKR and RR have four points from their first three games, but Sanju Samson’s team has a higher NRR of 2.067 than the Knight Riders’ 1.375.
The KL Rahul-led Lucknow Super Giants are presently third on the Points Table, with four points after three games. LSG can go to the top of the points table if they defeat Faf du Plessis’ Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Bengaluru on Monday. GT has dropped to fourth place with their first loss of the season.

Sunrisers Hyderabad moved out of the bottom of the Points Table with their first win of the season on Sunday, defeating Punjab Kings by eight wickets in Hyderabad. SRH presently has two points after three games. PBKS is still in sixth place with four points from three games. The only two clubs without a win this season are the Mumbai Indians and the Delhi Capitals.
Orange Cap
Shikhar Dhawan, the captain of PBKS, has won the Orange Cap for the IPL 2023 season following his magnificent unbeaten 99-run innings against SRH. Dhawan now has 225 runs in three matches, with two fifties and a strike rate of 149.

Jos Buttler, the Rajasthan Royals opener and IPL 2022 Orange Cap champion, is in fourth place with 152 runs in three games at a strike rate of 180.9.
Purple Cap
Rashid Khan, a GT leg-spinner and stand-in captain, is the new Purple Cap holder in IPL 2023, with 8 wickets in three matches. Rashid scored the first hat-trick of the IPL 2023 season against KKR, however his team was unable to win.

GT pacer Alzarri Joseph, LSG leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi, KKR off-spinner Sunil Narine, and GT colleague Mohammed Shami all moved up to fifth position on the wicket-takers’ list with 6 wickets from three matches.
