Following Sunday’s doubleheader, there have been a few modifications to the IPL 2023 points table. Following a shaky start to the season, Mumbai Indians have recovered winning form, defeating KKR by six wickets. In the other game, Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans played a thriller that concluded with RR winning by three wickets.
The much-anticipated debut of Arjun Tendulkar in the MI versus KKR match became a significant discussion topic. In terms of on-field action, KKR posted a total of 185 while batting first, thanks to an astounding century by Venkatesh Iyer. The Mumbai Indians comfortably chased down the score, as two of their key batting line-up players, Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav, found form and hit rapid runs. MI won by 5 wickets and with 14 balls left to play.
In GT vs RR, Rajasthan Royals defeated Gujarat Titans by three wickets in an IPL match at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Gujarat Titans scored 177 for seven after being asked to bat first. At the top of the order, the in-form Shubman Gill hit 45 off 34 balls, while David Miller hit 46 off 30 balls. Abhinav Manohar contributed a quick 27 from 13 deliveries. In response, RR finished the work in 19.2 overs. Sanju Samson of RR hammered 60 off 32 balls, while Shimron Hetmyer stormed to an unbeaten 26-ball 56. GT’s Mohammed Shami took three wickets but could not save their defeat.
