The Indian Premier League (IPL) had an exciting Sunday as the Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians both won to shift the tide of the season. While PBKS stunned the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by chasing down 201 runs off the last ball, the five-time champions also gunned down the fourth-highest successful chase in IPL history to defeat the Rajasthan Royals.
These two victories have obviously shifted the points table, with the Punjab Kings now on 10 points and MI on 8 points after nine games. Despite the loss, the Shikhar Dhawan-led side is now in fifth place, while CSK remains in fourth place. MI was tenth before yesterday’s match, but they are now seventh after the vital win. GT, LSG, RR, and CSK are the top four teams at the moment, although there isn’t much separating the other teams.
