IPL 2023: Celebrities Pour in Congratulations as CSK Clinches 5th IPL Title

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 final was a nail-biting affair, with Chennai Super Kings defeating last year’s champions, Gujarat Titans, to claim their fifth title. CSK won by 5 wickets, with Ravindra Jadeja scoring 10 runs off the final two balls. Mohit Sharma was defending 13 runs in the final over, smashed four Yorkers in a row, and only gave up three runs. Mohit bowled a full-length ball that went for a six and then a full toss on the final ball that went for a four, missing his length by inches on the next two balls. Many notable personalities applauded for CSK. Here are a few of the responses.

Popular Bollywood actors like Ranveer Singh and Riteish Deshmukh congratulated the ‘Men in Yellow’ on Twitter. The actor who plays Kapil Dev tweeted his congratulations to Ravindra Jadeja.



While applauding the victorious squad, Riteish Deshmukh referred to last night’s game as the ‘greatest finale’.


Riteish even hailed yesterday night’s hero, Ravindra Jadeja, in a separate tweet.


Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan, both Bollywood actresses, attended the IPL 2023 finals live and posted a video on Instagram. The duo were there to promote their new flick ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’.


Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, also tweeted to congratulate CSK and GT on their season.


CSK and MS Dhoni were declared champions this season, according to BCCI Honorary Secretary Jay Shah, who was present at the finals. He even complimented the fans who stayed for nearly three days despite the heavy rains and storms in Ahmedabad.


Legendary cricketers such as Sachin Tendulkar and Gautam Gambhir congratulated the champions of the IPL 2023. Tendulkar stated that while both the Gujarat Titans and the Chennai Super Kings fought hard, it was Chennai’s batting depth that proved the difference between the two teams.


Gambhir congratulated CSK on their fifth title. “Winning one title is difficult; winning five is incredible,” he remarked. Notably, Gambhir won two titles while captaining Kolkata Knight Riders in 2012 against CSK and in 2014 against Kings XI Punjab.
