1. Mohammad Azharuddin – ICC Champions Trophy 1998

Mohammad Azharuddin, one of the most successful captains of Indian cricket, played his 300th ODI match during the ICC Champions Trophy against Australia in Dhaka in 1998. The tournament was the first edition of the ICC Champions Trophy, then known as the Wills International Cup.

However, Azharuddin got out on zero without even opening his account in this historic match. He was sent to the pavilion by Australian bowler Damien Fleming by LBW. Despite this, the Indian team performed brilliantly in this match and defeated Australia by 44 runs.

Sachin Tendulkar has played the most number of ODI matches (463). He played his 300th ODI match in the final of the 2002 ICC Champions Trophy against Sri Lanka.
