Australia have lost two wickets against India on Day 1 of the fourth Test

The first session of Day 1 of the fourth Test between India and Australia has concluded. Australia’s score at lunch was 75/2, with Usman Khawaja (27*) and Steve Smith (2*) unbeaten at the crease. Ravichandran Ashwin and Mohammed Shami each took one wicket for India.

Following the dismissal of Marnus Labuschagne, Team India has successfully controlled the flow of runs and has not conceded a single boundary in the last four overs. On the other hand, Australia is looking for a perfect opportunity to get more runs and put their team ahead in the game.

Australia lost two wickets on the first day of the fourth Test against India. For Australia, Usman Khawaja and Steve Smith are unbeaten at the crease. Earlier, Australia captain Steve Smith won the toss and chose to bat in the fourth and final Test against India. Team India, led by Rohit Sharma, will compete for a World Test Championship final berth when they face Australia in the fourth and final Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test. The match begins on March 9 at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.

While the visitors have already confirmed their place in the WTC final with their win in Indore in the third Test, the hosts would need a win in the last game to avoid relying on Sri Lanka, who are playing a two-match series in New Zealand.
