The India and Pakistan locked horns on Sunday at Sharjah cricket ground, UAE where the Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bowl first for India, as the wicket of Sharjah seemed to be pretty good for the fast bowlers and it replicated that same anticipation as the Indian seamers were getting movement continuously till the 20th over of the first inning.
After the completion of first innings, the Pakistan team scored 147/10 in total, after the completion of 20 overs of their quota, in the initial 3-overs the Pakistan captain Babar Azam get knocked out on the short ball of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, also later the wickets were consistently falling as the Indian bowlers didn’t give a single chance to Pakistan to settle their foots.
The Pak opener Mohammed Rizwan is the only guy who played brilliant and crucial innings of 43(42), after him the middle order batsman Iftikhar Ahmed was the second guy to score the second best figures of the innings 28(22). The Babar Azam leading side could not even get to the score of 147-runs, if Shahnawaz Dahani hadn’t slammed some big hits at the end.
From the Indian side Bhuvaneswar Kumar produced the finest figure of the match which was 4/26 (4) and Hardik Pandey 3/25 (4). Arshdeep Singh also produced decent figures of 2/33 (3.5). So it will be interesting to see in the second innings whether India could chase the target of 148 runs or the young Pakistani bowling unit ripped through the Indian batting lineup.
