No major change has been made in the Indian team for the Test series against New Zealand. Out of the 16 players involved in the Bangladesh series, only Yash Dayal has been dropped. Apart from him, the same 15 players are on the team. Akash Deep has been successful in saving his place in the team. Dhruv Jurel has been selected along with Rishabh Pant as wicketkeeper. Jurel had to sit on the bench in the Bangladesh series.
Bumrah gets vice-captaincy in IND vs NZ
The selectors have given the vice-captaincy to Jasprit Bumrah in the Test. The post of vice-captain was vacant in the Indian Test team for a long time. When Rohit Sharma used to go out of the field, he used to give responsibility to someone. Bumrah is the main fast bowler of the team. He has also captained the Indian Test team in 2022 on the England tour. Now in the New Zealand series, he will be seen playing the responsibility of vice-captain.
