On Day 1 of the first Test between India and Australia in Nagpur on Thursday, Ravindra Jadeja made a comeback to remember by striking twice in one over to dismiss Marnus Labuschagne and Matt Renshaw. A spinning delivery from Jadeja utterly misled Labuschagne, who was about to hit his 15th half-century, as he left for 49. To accomplish his maiden Test stumping, KS Bharat made blunders behind the stumps as the right-hander stepped forward to play the shot. The batsman was again tricked by Jadeja in the subsequent ball, and Renshaw was out for no runs after being trapped LBW.
No doubt KS Bharat is the best replacement of pant https://t.co/dKcuxfPfGd

Earlier, after Indian pacers Mohammed Siraj and Mohammed Shami early on shook Australia with two quick scalps, Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne completed the repair job with a solid 74-run stand.
Australia had a score of 76/2 at the close of the first session, with Smith (19*) and Labuschagne (47*) both remaining unbeaten.

Usman Khawaja and David Warner were both bowled for one run each by the Indian speed combo of Mohammed Siraj and Mohammed Shami after Australia decided to bat first. As Shami sent Warner’s off-stump spinning, Khawaja was caught lbw, bringing Australia to 2/2 in 2.1 overs.
Following this, Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne, the top-ranked Test players in the world, mounted a comeback, facing off against furious Indian bowlers one ball at a time. Smith needed some time to get comfortable while Labuschagne exuded confidence right away.
Australia stood 20/2 after 10 overs, with Steve Smith (6*) and Marnus Labuschagne (8*) batting. After two early wickets, India had the upper hand.
Smith (10*) and Labuschagne (28*), two explosive Australians, began to inch closer to creating a 50-run stand. In 20 overs, Australia had 48/2.
In 123 balls, Smith scored a four to start the fifty-run stand.
The two led Australia through the rest of the opening session without incident.
