IND vs AUS: The Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test match between India and Australia was decided in a dramatic draw. Now, fans and analysts alike can’t help but wonder if Team India will make it to the World Test Championship final. With only a few overs of play possible on the last day due to rain, both teams had to settle for a draw, and hence no significant change in the WTC points table occurred. At the same time, this would stop Australia from surpassing them even if the Australian team were to win its coming series against Sri Lanka by 2-0.

In case India can win one and draw the other, they will still qualify with a bit more reliance on the other outcomes. Specifically, they need Sri Lanka to get at least one draw in their two-match series against Australia. If Sri Lanka draws or wins one, India can overtake Australia in the table even if they do not win both of their remaining Tests.
