The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 is going to be very special because for the first time, 12 teams will take part in this global tournament. The International Cricket Council has announced the full schedule, which includes every team’s match, date, and venue. This time, England and Wales will host the entire tournament. It will begin on 12 June and end on 5 July with the final match at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London.

This edition is also important because a total of 33 matches will be played in 7 different stadiums. All the matches will start at 7 PM IST, except one semi-final which will begin at 11 PM IST.

India’s Campaign Starts With a Match Against Pakistan

India Women will begin their World Cup journey on 14 June, where their first match will be against their biggest rival Pakistan Women. This match will be played at Edgbaston Ground in Birmingham.

India is placed in Group 1 along with Australia, South Africa, Pakistan and two more teams that will qualify through the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier.

There will be 12 teams in total this time. Out of these, 8 teams have already qualified, and the remaining 4 teams will come through the ICC Women’s T20 Qualifiers. All the teams are divided into 2 groups.

India’s second match will be on 17 June, where they will face a qualified team from Group 1. This match will be played at Headingley Stadium in Leeds.

Their third match will be on 21 June against South Africa, who were the runners-up in the last edition. This match will be played at Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester.

India’s fourth match will also be in Manchester on 25 June, where they will play against another qualified team.

The fifth and last group-stage match for India will be against Australia Women on 28 June. This match will take place at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London.

All group matches will begin at 7 PM IST.

The final match will be on 5 July at Lord’s Cricket Ground. It will start at 7 PM IST.
