I was the ‘Loneliest guy’ of the world : Virat Kohli exposed few edges of his prolonged mental Depression

The superstar Indian cricketer Virat Kohli has revealed the days of his cricketing career where he was engaged in serious mental health issues and at one point of time, he reached the peak of his psychological depression. In the latest interview which Kohli has given to the Indian express, he has revealed all the darks and downs which he faced at the mental level in his entire career. 

Virat Kohli is among those few athletes of the globe who speaks on the mental health concerns and also appeals to the other sports personalities for reporting it as soon as possible.  In the England tour of 2014, when he was facing consecutive failures with bat, that was the darkest face of his mindset which he revealed in his dozens of recent interviews.

The former Indian captain didn’t score a single century since November 2019 in any format of the game, which is why so many questions are raising about his temperament and playing approach.

In his fresh short chat with the ‘Indian express’, he disclosed some insights of his phase of mental depression. He said, “It’s not a great feeling to wake up knowing that you won’t be able to score runs… I felt I was the loneliest guy in the world. I personally have experienced times when even in a room full of people who support and love me”. 

“I felt alone, and I am sure that this is a feeling that a lot of people can relate to, it is definitely a serious issue and as much as we try to be strong at all times, it can tear you apart”, Kohli concluded.
