In the GT vs RR high scorer thriller of IPL 2025, Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s century led Rajasthan Royals to a 8 wicket victory and 25 balls to spare.

In the high-stakes GT vs RR IPL 2025 match at Jaipur, the Gujarat Titans (GT) once again showed off their strong top order. With a masterful 84 off 50 balls by captain Shubman Gill, and a rock-solid 39 off 30 by young sensation B Sai Sudharsan, GT made an authoritative total of 209/4 on the slow and low surface.

Later in the pursuit of a 210-run chase, Vaibhav Suryavanshi smashed the fastest century by an Indian in IPL history in 35 balls, and it cost Rajasthan Royals an easy victory by 8 wickets and 25 balls to spare. Vaibhav got awarded the player of the match for his outstanding performance as well.

Even as the powerplay, in which GT reached 53/0 with careful aggression, Gill sustained the momentum with creative stroke play. He produced the slog-sweep and sent Riyan Parag over the ropes for a six, unfazed by the variable bounce.

While Wanindu Hasaranga constructed some pressure with three close overs, the shackles were loosened when Gill hammered Yudhvir Singh for two sixes in the 14th over. In the meanwhile, Jos Buttler, having a cautious start (7 off 10), burst into action with 41 off his following 14 deliveries, including three sixes off one over from Hasaranga and a jaw-dropping reverse ramp off Jofra Archer.

Late Flourish from Tewatia and Shahrukh

Even though Buttler was not exposed to numerous balls in the last two overs, the combination of Rahul Tewatia and Shahrukh Khan posted a nippy 22 runs, so GT got past the 200-mark with momentum squarely in their favour.
