‘Dreams do come true’ : Dinesh Karthik shared an emotional message on Twitter, after getting a call for T20 World Cup 2022

 

The flamboat Indian wiki-batter Dinesh Karthik shared an emotional message on his official Twitter handle after he got the second T20 World Cup call of his international cricket career recently, when the squad of the Indian team for T20 World Cup 2022 was announced on Monday.

The Indian team declared the 15 members group for the upcoming World T20 and in it two wicket-keepers Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik got place along with some come back making names like Jasprit Bumrah, Harshal Patel and Mohammed Shami, the tournament will happen just after month in October at the Venus of Australia.

Dinesh Karthik was initially selected in the 2007 T20 World Cup which was the biggest break in his international cricket career and now after 15 long years he got another chance to play for India in the T20 World Cup 2022, these kinds of instances rarely happen in world cricket. But this is not an unusual decision from the chief selectors of the Indian team.

From the past couple of months the wicket-keeper Dinesh Karthik totally got converted into the role of finisher which was the prime reason behind his selection, now he would partner the young Hardik Pandya in the middle order position of the team. But it will be also interesting to see whether the team management will give preference to Deepak Hooda instead of Dinesh Karthik, because in the Asia Cup 2022 this scenario has happened more than two times.
