On Monday, the Delhi Capitals Women (DC-W) will face the Royal Challengers Bangalore Women (RCB-W) in Match No. 11 of the ongoing Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2023 at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai (March 13). The DC Women team is now towards the top of the standings, having won three of their first four matches for six points, while the RCB Women squad, led by skipper Smriti Mandhana, is yet to open their account.
A win for Meg Lanning’s team will tie them on points with the leaders, the Mumbai Indians, who have won all four games so far. With four consecutive losses since the start of the WPL 2023, Team India vice-captain Mandhana will be anxious for a win.
The two teams had previously met, with the DC team winning by a score of 60 runs. In that match, skipper Lanning and opening partner Shafali Verma both struck 50 in a tremendous opening pair. Shafali has maintained her stellar form, smashing 76 runs in their most recent encounter to set up a 10-wicket victory over the Gujarat Giants.

In their previous match, the RCB were defeated by the UP Warriorz with a score of 10-wickets.
