IPL 2025 Match 46: DC vs RCB – A Battle of Equals
The match will take place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, with both teams coming off impressive wins. DC is in second place on the points table, while RCB is third, with both teams having 12 points. However, RCB has played one extra match.
Both sides have strong batting and bowling units, making it an exciting contest. In their previous IPL 2025 match, DC won at Chinnaswamy with KL Rahul playing a brilliant knock. Virat Kohli, who has been in good form, will be crucial for RCB, as they’ve won every game this season when he scores a half-century.
RCB leads the head-to-head 19-12 against DC, with one match having no result. Since 2021, DC has won just two of its last seven matches against RCB, making this match crucial for its playoff hopes.
At the toss, Rajat Patidar mentioned that the pitch is good for batting and confirmed that Jacob Bethell was included in the playing XI to replace the ill Phil Salt. He said:
“We will bowl first. The wicket is quite good to bat on and I don’t think it’s going to change too much.”
Axar Patel said they wanted to bat first and confirmed that Faf du Plessis was returning to the playing XI. He added:
“That is an advantage too but if we had won the toss, I think we would have batted only and used the wicket in the second innings. In the last game, there was no dew but in the game against Mumbai, there was some dew.
“They (LSG) had two foreign batters at the top so I wanted to bowl against them. I was bowling with a good rhythm, the plan wasn’t to bowl four overs in a row but I kept bowling so I continued with it. Faf is back and the Impact player we will decide according to the situation.”
