Curtis Campher, an Irish cricket player born in South Africa on April 20, 1999, currently plays for the Munster Reds. Curtis Campher, who was reared in Johannesburg and will continue to play for the South African Under-19 squad until the beginning of 2020, has declared his ambition to move to Ireland and give the senior team there a try. He had joined the Ireland Wolves for a tour of Namibia at the start of that year, and his strong play there had led to his inclusion in the squad for the upcoming three-game ODI series against England in July.

Ideally, all-rounder and short-seam bowler Campher would bat in the top six. He played for Leinster Lightning in his debut season as an adopted Irishman and has since relocated to Munster Reds in anticipation of the 2021 domestic season. Sadly, he had to take it easy after having surgery on his ankle. Longtime Ireland wicketkeeper Niall O’Brien found out during a warm-up match for the 2019 World Cup Qualifier that Campher qualified because his grandmother was raised in Derry.
