IPL 2025: Sunrisers Hyderabad improved their chances of making the playoffs by beating Chennai Super Kings on Friday. With five matches left, Pat Cummins and his team need to win at least three more to stay in the race for the top four. Some of their upcoming games will be at home, and if SRH can win all of them, their chances of finishing in the top four will get a big boost.
If Sunrisers Hyderabad win all of their remaining matches, they won’t have to rely on other teams’ results to make the playoffs. But if they lose even one game, things could get difficult for them.

Chennai Super Kings came into the match against SRH with just 2 wins from 7 games, the same situation as Hyderabad. But after losing to SRH, CSK are now almost out of the playoffs race. They must win all of their remaining games to stay in the hunt for a top-four finish.

If CSK win all five of their remaining matches, they’ll end up with 14 points, which could still give them a chance to qualify. However, they’ll also need some other match results to go in their favor.
