This group used to be known as the Comilla Victorians (Cumilla Warriors). The Comilla Victorians team, also known as the Cumilla Warriors, is a Twenty20 franchise cricket team that plays in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). The Bangladesh Cricket Board runs the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), the highest level of professional Twenty20 cricket league in Bangladesh (BCB). When the third season of the Bangladesh Premier League started, city-based teams like the Comilla Victorians replaced the clubs that were based in divisions. This was done so that more people would be interested in the league. One of the most populous cities in Bangladesh, Comilla is in the Chittagong division. After a round of bidding, the franchise rights were given to and bought by Nafisa Kamal, who owns Legends Sporting Limited.
Comilla’s journey through the BPL seasons has been a complicated one. Even though they had won the championship in their first season, they could have been more consistent in the next two. For the 2018–19 Big Bash League season, they have chosen Steve Smith as their captain. After the ball-tampering scandal, this will be his second time playing in a global T20 tournament.
