The ninth edition of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 concluded on Sunday at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, with India winning their third title by defeating New Zealand by four wickets in the final.

New Zealand started strong, with Rachin Ravindra (37) and Will Young (15) adding 57 runs for the opening partnership. But once India introduced spin, the Black Caps quickly fell to 75 for 3. Daryl Mitchell (63) held one end, but it was Michael Bracewell (53*) who played a brilliant knock to guide New Zealand to 251/7. In response, India got off to a great start with Rohit Sharma (76) leading the charge. He and Shubman Gill (31) put on 105 runs for the first wicket. After a few quick wickets, India was 122 for 3, but Shreyas Iyer (48) and Axar Patel (29) steadied the ship with a 61-run partnership. With pressure building, KL Rahul (33*) and Hardik Pandya (18) saw India home, chasing down the target with four wickets to spare.
