Khulna’s total of 167 was projected to be a competitive total, and that perception was reaffirmed at the start of Rangpur’s innings when Sohag Gazi was caught for one and Brendon McCullum was dropped for zero only within third over.

Gayle stroked fifty in 23 deliveries with a pull shot off Mohammad Irfan. He decided to stay and gain the game for Rangpur. All in all, it was a composed performance of a West Indian player by giving an illustration of pacifying an inning in the game’s brief version. While Gayle was devastated, Mohammed Mithun knocked a 36-ball 30 who came after McCullum was knocked.  Gayle terminated with a century in 45 deliveries, outstanding the 168-run goal.
