RCB won the IPL 2025 final against Punjab Kings on June 3 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. After the win, the team returned to Bengaluru and planned to celebrate with fans. They arranged a victory parade and a big event at M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

But before the celebration started, a huge crowd gathered outside the stadium and things went out of control. A stampede happened in which 11 people died and around 40 got injured. This shocked everyone and fans blamed both RCB and BCCI for poor management. People on social media were angry about the situation.

Police arrested franchise officials, questions were raised

After the stampede, the police took action and arrested some officials from the franchise. The case is still being reported in the media and people are raising questions about safety. After this, BCCI started working on a plan to avoid such problems in future celebrations.

BCCI wants to allow teams to celebrate after winning the IPL, but in a way that is safe and controlled. The board knows that winning the trophy is a big moment, but it also wants to make sure that nothing bad happens during the celebrations. BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia has confirmed that the board is working on this and action will be taken soon.

Domestic calendar and New Zealand series schedule will also be decided in meeting

In the same meeting, BCCI will also talk about some other important topics. The full schedule of the 2025–26 domestic season will be approved. Also, the full plan for the white-ball series against New Zealand in 2026 will be finalized.

India and New Zealand will play 3 ODIs and 5 T20Is. BCCI will hold a virtual meeting to talk about all these points – from safety rules to international series schedule.

BCCI’s step will make future celebrations more responsible

The RCB incident has shown that celebration events need better planning and crowd control. BCCI’s new rules will try to fix these issues so that no one’s life is at risk and fans can still enjoy the moment.

If the rules are followed properly, future IPL celebrations will be more safe and organized. Fans will also be able to enjoy their team’s victory without any fear.
