Bangladesh veteran wiki-batter ‘Mushfiqur Rahim’ announced retirement from T20Is

The veteran Bangladesh wicketkeeper batsman ‘Mushfiqur Rahim’ announced retirement from International T20 cricket for Bangladesh on Sunday, he is one of the most successful players from the Bangladesh side who stamped his name on his own skill set in the world cricket, many experts of cricket fraternity also anticipating that the T20I leadership handover to Shakib Al Hasan in spite of experience Mushfiqur Rahim is the reason behind this retirement move.

He is the only Bangladesh player to play most number of T20I matches in his International career where he scored exactly 1500 runs with a brilliant average of 27.9, he is considered as one of the most reliable batsmen in world cricket when it comes to absorb and perform in highly pressure situations of the game. On the other hand, his contribution in one day internationals is even enormous for Bangladesh cricket, he inspired a couple of youths of the nation for more than the past one decade.

He was also made the captain of Bangladesh One day International team for sometime but later due to lack of focus on the batting and worst getting form he gave up captaincy and after that Tamim Iqbal and Mashrafe mortaza named as the future captains of the side. In his short declaration tweet he said, “I would like to announce my retirement from T20 INTERNATIONALS and focus on Test and ODI formats of the game. I will be available to play franchise leagues when the opportunity arrives. Looking forward to proudly represent my nation in the two formats-MR15”.
