One of the most magnificent facets of Test cricket is a well-struck boundary. It is an incredible masterwork of the batsman’s high calibre, as such a stroke can be extremely difficult to execute. Nonetheless, some spectacular innings by top batsmen have occurred over the years. They’ve been able to overcome numerous obstacles.
In this article, we will look at the top five Bangladesh batsmen who have scored the most boundaries in the TEST cricket format.
Tamim Iqbal

Tamim Iqbal’s ODI form has been inconsistent, but his Test form has been exceptional. He made his Test debut in 2008, scoring two fifties against New Zealand in Dunedin. In 2009, he ended up scoring his first Test century against the West Indies at Kingstown, aiding Bangladesh to their first international test triumph. Tamim Iqbal has slammed 650 boundaries in the TEST format, placing him first among the top five Bangladeshi batsmen who have scored the most boundaries in the TEST cricket format.
Mushfiqur Rahim
Mushfiqur Rahim, a total and comprehensive powerhouse behind the stumps, totally matches the cliched portrayal of a wicketkeeper. He is short, quick behind the stumps, always wittering away, and an excellent batsman. He was initially chosen as Khaled Mashud’s understudy for the 2005 tour of England, but after wowing everyone with his bat expertise in the tour games, he was encouraged to play his first Test as an expert batsman at the age of 16. As a result, he was the youngest player ever to play at Lord’s. Mushfiqur Rahim slammed 630 boundaries in the TEST format, placing him second among the top 5 Bangladeshi batsmen who have scored the most boundaries in the TEST cricket format.
Shakib Al Hasan
Shakib continued in the same ethos that he showcased in the ODIs and Tests. His watershed moment came in the 2008 Chittagong Test against New Zealand. He bowled 7/36, the best figures ever by a Bangladeshi bowler. Shakib also contributed a fifty in the second innings, assisting New Zealand in setting a lofty target of 317. Shakib Al Hasan has smashed 523 boundaries in the TEST format, placing him third among the top five Bangladeshi batsmen who have scored the most boundaries in the TEST cricket format.
Mominul Haque
Mominul Haque made his Test debut for Bangladesh against Sri Lanka in Galle on March 8, 2013. In his first Test, he scored a half-century and concluded the match with 156 runs in three innings at a phenomenal average of 52. In a Test match against New Zealand in Chittagong, he attacked his first century off 100 balls. Mominul Haque criticised 409 boundaries in the TEST format, placing him fourth among the top five Bangladeshi batsmen who have scored the most boundaries in the TEST cricket format.
Habibul Bashar
Bashar was dropped from the Bangladesh team prior to the first Test match in 2000. He had been consistently performing prior to the start of the Test, and the Bangladeshi press widely condemned the selectors’ decision. This forced the selectors to include him in the squad, and he responded with a tenacious fifty against India. Bashar hasn’t looked back since, continually performing at this tier. Habibul Bashar hammered 401 boundaries in the TEST format, placing him fifth among the top five Bangladeshi batsmen who have scored the most boundaries in the Test cricket format.
