The seventh match of Arunachal Premier Leauge 2024 (APL 2024) was played on Wednesday (11 September) between Dirang Dragons and Siang Sharks (Dirang Dragons vs. Siang Sharks) at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Ghaziabad. In this match, the Siang Sharks won a spectacular victory by 5 wickets. Sharks batsmen Akhilesh Sahni and Nabam Hachang played important roles in their team’s victory.

Dirang Dragons Batting Innings
Talking more about the match, Dirang Dragons won the toss and decided to bat first and invited Siang Sharks to bat first. This decision of the Dragons did not go in their favour, as they won a spectacular victory by 5 wickets against the Sharks with 7 balls to spare.
Batting first, the Dirang Dragons had made a total of 163/4.
In his second match of Arunachal Premier League 2024, after winning the toss, the Dirang Dragons batted first and scored 163 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. For them, opener Biki Kumar scored 71 runs in 49 balls. Apart from him, no batsman could score more than 19 runs.

If we look at the bowling of Siang Sharks bowlers, Jacob Takam (1/7 in 2 overs), Techi Dol (1/33 in 4 overs), and Ajit Kamra (1/37 in 4 overs) took 1-1 wickets, while no other bowler got a single success.
Siang Sharks Chase Target
The Siang Sharks chased a target of 164 runs in their second match of this season and won by 5 wickets in 18.5 overs. For them, Akhilesh Sahani scored the highest 67 runs off 37 balls, while opener Nabam Hachang was the second-highest run scorer with 40 runs off 25 balls.
Akhilesh Sahani’s Heroics
Sharks all-rounder Akhilesh Sahani proved to be very expensive in bowling in this match but proved to be a game-changer in batting. While bowling in this match, he spent 41 runs in 4 overs, while batting, he scored 67 runs off 37 balls with the help of 3 fours and 7 sixes. Due to his performance, he was chosen as the Player of the Match.
