Wi vs Nz 3rd Odi : Tom Latham, Trent Boult shines as New Zealand beat Windies in the series decider

In the third series deciding Odi game between New Zealand and West Indies the best of captain Tom Latham has come out to save the series for New Zealand, as he smashed a fantastic knock of 69(75). On the other hand in the bowling department, Trent Boult produced decent figures of 3-53 by clinching a 3-wicket haul.

At the venue of Kensington Oval, the flat surface allows the batsman to score freely and make a big score on the scoreboard. New Zealand has invited West Indies to bat first which can be considered as a surprising decision in the hindsight. And accepting the invitation West Indies made a big score of 301/8 (50), where the youngsters Kyle Mayers smashed a fantastic Centurion knock of 105 (110).

On the other hand the skipper Nicholas Pooran also played a cameo of 91(55). The chasing New Zealand came to bat in the second innings, then all things were running perfectly for the chasing side as the first four batters out of 5 have scored 50+ runs which have made the chase ultimately successful adding the brisk cameo of Jimmy Neesham who scored 28*(10) with a strike rate of 280.

This is the first victory of New Zealand in an ODI series on the West Indies soil initially the kiwis win the T20 series and now they also put the ODI series into their pocket by conquering the series decider game.

Mitchell Santner has been awarded with man of the series award for his all round performance while the captain Tom Latham has been given man of the match trophy for the highest score which he made during the chase.
