Sri Lanka get majestic victory over Bangladesh in Asia Cup

After a magnificent victory over the poor Bangladesh team in the Asia Cup 2022 the Srilankan players exploded their happiness in the form of ‘Nagin Dance’ celebration which was initiated by the captain of Sri Lanka Dasun Shanaka. In the last group stage encounter both the teams SriLanka and Bangladesh contested for the last vacant spot of the super four qualification stage but unfortunately the Bangladesh side who were earlier defeated by the underdogs Afghanistan has again tasted defeat in the tournament.

With this the Bangladesh become the first team in the Asia Cup 2022 to get eliminated from the group stage now it will be interesting to see which team between Pakistan and Hong Kong will become the last one two ruled out from this championship. In the game between SriLanka and Bangladesh, the SL skipper Dasun Shanaka won the toss and elected to bowl first but unexpectedly the poor side of Bangla tigers put up a very good total of 183 runs.

Later as the SriLanka side came into bat there both openers gave a decent start to the team, but the regular wickets kept them on the back foot until the magical knock of Asitha Fernando which was only of 10(3) runs but with a strike rate of around 250 helped his team to cross the line at the end. Thus as Fernando hit the winning runs the SriLankan captain along with his teammates started to celebrate in the style of nagin dance and also their last moment celebration video went madly viral on social media.
