3 Major Comebacks ever made by the Indian cricketers in the history

As a cricket fan we regularly used to hear the stories of star players who made phenomenal comebacks in Indian cricket team after a significant halt in their professional gameplay that resulted due to many causes like injuries, mental health issues and restriction or ban which could be imposed on a player by the respective national/International cricket administration.

But there were many players who were lost from the world of cricket after some major setbacks and there were few who bounced back strongly that the whole cricket fraternity remember their name due to that one courageous step. So in this context below are three key Indian Cricketers who made a strong come back which became an inspiration for the upcoming youngsters.

#1. Hardik Pandya.

In the edition of 2018 Asia Cup Indian all rounder Hardik Pandya fell on the ground while finishing the run up, from there nobody had an idea that he is going to stay away from cricket for 3 long years due to severe spine injury. But after staying one complete year on the bed he started to drill slowly and after shining the skills consistently for two years he made a comeback in Indian cricket team in 2022 and after playing couple of matches he became the perfect finisher of the Indian team right now.

#2. Yuvraj Singh.

The former Indian middle order batsman Yuvraj Singh got under the dark shadow of blood cancer after the 2011 world cup which India won and scripted the history. But after Yuvraj Singh was recognised positive for the cancer then the whole Indian cricket fraternity got shocked and nobody anticipated that he will step into the cricket field again in the near future.

But after successfully beating the cancer, Yuvraj played an international game in the year 2014 and from there he stayed the part of Indian Cricket Team consistently till the year 2017. In between he appeared for the  mega tournaments like 2014 T20 World Cup, 2015 ICC 50-over World Cup, then he again got chance to play the 5th edition of ICC T20 World Cup 2016.

#3. Dinesh Karthik.

The current Indian wicket keeper Dinesh Karthik has stamped his name from the last IPL edition after the retirement of MS Dhoni. Dinesh Kartik genuinely had the chance to get back into the Indian cricket team but the age factor was the biggest obstacle in his path. If he wouldn’t perform consistently then he didn’t have any chance to make it in the side but he showed that the finisher among him is still alive and on the basis of aggressive consistent performances he made a comeback in the Indian cricket team and is currently playing Asia Cup 2022.

He is also considered as the prime candidate to appear in the T20 World Cup 2022 wearing the blue jersey of team India.
