The eminent IPL franchise Punjab Kings has decided to sack their current head coach Anil Kumble from the prime position of the franchise, as per the secret report from the sources. Anil Kumble was serving the position of Pbks head coach from the last two IPL editions in the franchise. Probably due to the unsuccessful journey of the team, Kumble would be removed from the stance.
In the last IPL edition the Mayank Agarwal leading Pbks, has started well to their journey of the season, but at the end they faced consecutive losses which derial their winning momentum in the edition. Also in the middle of last IPL edition some rumours have prevailed regarding the tension between the skipper Mayank Agarwal and the coach Anil Kumble which would also be one of the reasons behind Kumble’s withdrawal.
The former World Cup winning England captain Eoin Morgan, and the Ex-Australian coach Trevor Bayliss are included in the race to become the next head coach of Punjab Kings. Bayliss has helped the Gautam Gambhir leading side of KKR win two trophies in the IPL.
As per the secret source of cricbuzz, “The Mohali team has apparently decided not to renew Anil Kumble’s three-year contract, which ends this September. They are already in search of candidates. It is learnt that their representatives have approached the likes of Eoin Morgan, Trevor Bayliss and one former India coach. Eventually one of them or none of them may get the posting. A Punjab Kings official said they will decide in a week’s time”.
