Former cricketer AB de Villiers has heaped praise on the U-19 Indian cricket team following their impressive comeback win over hosts South Africa in the U-19 World Cup semifinal in Benoni. The Uday Saharan-led side secured a thrilling two-wicket victory, earning a spot in the final for the ninth time and the fifth consecutive time.

Expressing his disappointment over South Africa’s loss, AB de Villiers lauded the way the Indian team fought back for the win. In an exclusive conversation with IANS, he remarked, “It shows the amazing depth India has in cricket. It will be an interesting final.”

The Boys-In-Blue will face Australia in the final after the Hugh Weibgen-led side clinched a nail-biting one-wicket victory against Pakistan in the second semifinal at Willowmoore Park in Benoni.
