“Form is temporary, class is permanent”: Ab de Villiers backed Virat Kohli in between his struggle with the form

In his interview with NDTV, ABD backed Kohli. “Virat Kohli is one of the greatest cricketers ever to play the game. Form is temporary, class is permanent. Virat remains world class.”

The South African veteran batsman AB de Villiers praised and backed the out-of-form Virat Kohli in his recent interview given to NDTV. De Villiers was consistently associated with Virat Kohli during the IPL as both the players were part of IPL franchise of Royal challengers Bangalore for 13 years.

AB de Villiers has a great sense of cricket also he is considered as one of the finest cricket analyst  along with a successful international cricketer. This is the reason why his statement regarding Kohli matters a lot. He is considered as the closest cricket personality to Virat Kohli instead of any cricketer from the Indian team.

In the year 2014 when Kohli went through a similar patch of his career, Ab de Villiers extended his support to him and also gave a few pieces of advice to recover from it.

The back-in-form Virat Kohli is very necessary for the Indian team to win the upcoming tournament of Asia Cup 2022.

So in this context of Virat Kohli, when a journalist from NDTV asked a question to AB de Villiers then he answered, “Virat is one of the greatest cricketers ever to play the game. Form is temporary, class is permanent. Virat remains world-class. Virat and I remain in regular contact. We are friends, and he certainly does not need me to tell him the importance of working hard during a bad patch”.
