The batsmen aim to go all out in the later parts of the innings, and the bowlers must be on their toes in such situation. Just a few top-tier players in the Indian Premier League (IPL) have perfected the skill of bowling at the death with the most wickets to their name.

1. Dwayne Bravo (102)

As previously stated, Dwayne Bravo is the top wicket-taker in IPL history. Bravo leads the leader board in this category as well, having taken 102 wickets in 1115 balls when bowling at the death. He has given up 1810 runs in 125 innings, including 129 fours and 88 sixes. At that time, Bravo bowled 344 dot balls and averaged 17.74. He won the Purple Cap twice, in 2013 and 2015, and he also shares the record for most wickets in a single season with Harshal Patel (32 in 2013).

2. Lasith Malinga (90)

Former Mumbai Indians bowler Lasith Malinga is the tournament’s second-highest wicket-taker with 170. The second name on this list is the yorker specialist, who has 90 wickets in 917 deliveries in the death. Malinga gave up 1196 runs in 109 innings, with 81 fours and 41 maximums. With 320 dot balls, he has a 13.28 bowling average.

3. Bhuvneshwar Kumar (77)

Bhuvneshwar Kumar, a seam bowler for the Sunrisers Hyderabad, is ranked third in this exclusive ranking. In the final overs, the right-arm medium bowler had 77 wickets in 999 deliveries. Bhuvneshwar Kumar has scored 1533 runs in 118 innings, including 130 fours and 59 sixes. He has bowled 312 dot balls and has a 19.90 bowling average. Bhuvneshwar Kumar is the only bowler to have won the Purple Cap in both the 2016 and 2017 editions of the IPL.
